400 local residents were questioned on a wide variety of issues to do with crime, education, the environment and their personal lives. Impressions of the environment were improved, people were more pleased with their housing whilst more people are in work and crime is down. People even reported being happier with nearly a fifth being happy ‘all the time’ – more than the national average!
‘We are very pleased with these figures as they show that consistent progress is being made in the area and that gains made are not just a flash in the pan,’ says Councillor Ian Greenwood, Chair of Bradford Trident. ‘In particular I am pleased that most people think Trident has improved the area as a place to live.’
