U.M.I
U.M.I., short for Unlimited Musical Influences, is a music resource organisation that works with producers, promoters, artists, DJ's and trainers. Set up in March 1998 U.M.I. run training courses in music technology and DJ mixing and at the same time record new talent. U.M.I. have produced shows throughout West Yorkshire. Firmly based in the community U.M.I. has a studio at M.A.P.A. 'At U.M.I. we are all about working closely with young people to bring out the best in their music. We specialize in a variety of mainly dance-based styles ranging through r'n'b, drum and bass, bhangra, pop, hip-hop, garage and happy house.' Says co- founder Jerry Crawford.
