What is the Little Horton Neighbourhood Action Group?
The Little Horton Neighbourhood Action Group is a group of local residents and workers who come together on a regular basis to help improve life in our community.
What is the aim of the group?
We aim to get local people involved and work alongside the council, police, the NHS and Education Bradford and other service providers to improve the delivery of services in the area. From our recent consultations with residents we updated our Action Plan which provides a clear focus of what, how, when and who should be responsible for making changes happen.
What we have done already...
- Environmental improvements e.g. Elizabeth Street
- Dehumidifier scheme to combat house dampness
- Organised summer play activities
- Men’s health swimming sessions and women’s health exercise sessions
- Networking conferences for Neighbourhood Action Group members living in different boundaries of the BD5 area
- Anti crime initiatives and anti crime events
